I was going to do this myself anyway, but any thoughts to "saying Thanks" to the Legends tour crew from the SSOA? I'd be glad to coordinate if there is enough interest. Let me know, and of any ideas. It could be something similar to what we did for Scott (Settlemire) (ie. Thank you letters...), and send a copy to Scott Blewitt, and one to "BJ and Betty". (Plan would be to deliver by Christmas)
Most of us on this board know "BJ and Betty", ...and Scott Blewitt from the Legends tour. I don't think they read this board (shame on them ) so hopefully they won't see this thread. Over the years of my involvement with them and the tour, they've become great friends. I thought it would be a nice gesture to put a few letters together and say thanks...
Let me know what you 'guys' think...
Thanks, Kevin

I don't know them well, but I have seen them at several events. You can tell they really enjoy what they do and recognition for your "job" is always welcome.
I'm in.

That would be a cool thing to do for BJ,Betty and Scott Blewitt. They have become very good friends of my wife and I also. We are going to BJ and Betty's house for Thanksgiving dinner. I have helped them several times take the Camaro Legends Tour apart and they earn their pay ,especially when it is very hot out! BJ,Betty and Scott are a class act! Posted by MM (Member # 1247) on :
Boy Scott look like he's having a good time at hooters..... Nice pic Greg! Thats priceless... Anyways I have met the guys and they are a class act. Not sure what you have in mind to do for them... I got to help them take down the show in Spokane.... was pretty cool! I'm such a nut I'm going to fly down to vegas to see the "show" for its final time.... Posted by MM (Member # 1247) on :

That picture was at the Hooters down the street from Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids and was the weekend of the 3rd Annual Berger Chevy All Chevy Show that was Labor Day Weekend.I was supposed to go with him,but the wife had other plans! Posted by HTWLSS (Member # 117) on :
Scott was nice enough to take my die cast model of the Legends truck in Bowling Green and get signatures of every crew member. I look forward to displaying it in the garage when we get it done.
How about we each chip in a couple or few bucks and pay for SSOA memberships for BJ & Betty, and Scott?
Kevin: Would you like to collect their information? I think the Fbodfather might have a source for their VINs & addresses, etc.
I'll start by offering $5, as a contribution from the Heino household. How about if we go over the $80 for the two memberships, we could overflow the rest into the SSOA brick fund?

Teri, ...Great idea, I'll collect the information on their cars and email you. OK, ...I'll kick in $10.00 towards the memberships... Posted by HTWLSS (Member # 117) on :
Would you like to collect the $$? Tell everyone where to send it and then just write me one check when you send their applications. Posted by amy00ss (Member # 106) on :
I'll send some money to help out. Tell me where to mail a check...and to whom I should make it out. At the SLP event at Ennis I helped him get the Certificate computer running. It was not much but he was so appreciative. The Legends Tour is definately a class act.

Kevin, if you don't want to post your address publicly, I don't mind if people send $$ to the SSOA address as long as it's specified what it's for.
Jot down a quick note that it's for Betty & Bj, & Scott Blewitt, insert it w/the check, and mark the envelope:
SSOA Legends Tour PO Box 2904 Hillsboro, OR 97123

Here's my address: Kevin Kolvenbach 1349 County Hwy. 17 Walden, NY 12586
...but since you already posted: SSOA Legends Tour PO Box 2904 Hillsboro, OR 97123
..we can use either
As Teri mentioned, Please make a note that it's for BJ&Betty and Scott. I'll forward any checks I receive to Teri. I would assume ...all checks should be made out to "SSOA" , ...Teri please confirm.
Thanks, Kevin

Checks made out to SSOA, or if you get cash from people in person, you can write me a check for it so it doesn't go through the mail.

Where exactly will the Legends tour be set up when it gets to Vegas?

If it's during the Super Chevy Show, it'll most likely be near the other vendors and people showing their cars in the parking lot behind the stadium of the drag strip. It's next to the L.V. Speedway, about 15-20 miles north of Vegas. (Not sure of that distance...I'm going off memory. Consult MapQuest to confirm.)

LV Speedway is what I was looking for. Wasnt sure where in Vegas it was going to be. Thanks
