How do you guys carry your detailer, MF towels, Zaino stuff? Like when you go on a short trip and you want to be able to detail your car quickly on the road say at your hotel, etc. . Any ideas on what kind of carry pack you use, supplies and a high quality spray bottle? WHERE DID YOU BUY YOUR LITTLE BAG TO CARRY YOUR STUFF? DUE TO INCOMPETANT MAIL SERVICE(U.S. MAIL) I WANT TO BUY LOCALLY.
Thanks.

I have a long, narrow bucket that I found at Home depot. I fits car wash, sponges, Z5, Z6, windex, tire gloss, various applicators, and several towels. Fits in the trunk as one neat package. But I'm a novice, the pros on this board I'm sure have better approaches.

Well we carry all our Zaino in plastic "tote" or carry-all, found it at wal-mart. It has a handle formed into it and compartments for all the different stuff we bring. We use to carry a 5 gallon bucket with us to wash the car but that was to big. Now I all I do is put a capfull or 2 of the Zaino car wash into a spray bottle, fill the bottle with "bottled water". When we get to our final destination I find a local car wash and spary the car down with water, no soap. Then I take the spray bottle that I pre mixed the zaino in and spray that on the car. Next step is to take a diaper and wipe down the car. I spray the diaper with zaino as well. When the car is all clean I just spray the car down with the rinse water. This way I do not use the harsh soaps from the car wash and still have a hi power hose. Seems to work very well. As for the towels and diapers I just put them in big zip lock bags and then but all of those into a big lauundry bag. All of this fits very well in the back of the car.
Hope this helps, keep it safe.

My wife buys "Max Scoop" kitty litter for the cats. It comes in plastic pales that is the perfect size for the rear "well" of the SS. I put all the stuff in there, and it can double for a car wash bucket in a pinch.
I have a few extras if anyone needs one. Posted by Ray (Member # 1557) on :
Thanks. The problem for me is finding a small little pack to carry the stuff and high quality small spray bottles. I want the pack small and low to fit in the rear of the SS, either on the rear deck or in the "deep well" area. The Walmart soft coolers look silly to me-like a kids cooler. I don't want a duffle bag or suit case either. I need something low and square that's water proof-and black in color. I want high quailty spray bottles like at Home Depot but half the size-smaller. So far I went to Target, Walmart, Bed, bath and Beyond, Lowes, Home Depot.
Any more ideas?

What about a square tupperware/rubbermaid container or something to that sort with a lid. They come in tons of sizes adn lokoed at Walmart adn tehy have things that looks to be the size of the 'trunk well.' I just have stuff thrown in there now and will probably get soemthing like that. Although there isn't any dividers in it, but would still keep it neat back there.
Another thing I have that I keep at home is a rubbermaid square container that has 4 sections with a handle built in the center of it. I guess it's too keep house supplies and such in it, but works great for all my car supplies. It can hold pretty much all my necessary things to wash my SS in it. I think you can also find that Walmart/Target/K-Mart/etc. Hope this helps!

I use the cat-litter pail also. I need to find some kind of tac-paper to cover up the cats on it. Fits perfect into the well and has a handle.

I use a corregated carton,14"X8"X8" deep, with the flaps folded in. I then cut hand holes in two sides,so its easy to carry. Its big enough to carry all my supplies and fits in the well. I bought a small 5 qt. paint bucket at WallMart to use to wash the car. It doesn't take up much room. You have to improvise.

We use a Rubbermaid dish pan that holds our Zaino & detail products, protects the car from spills, and doubles as a wash bucket.
We carry our towels in a covered, Rubbermaid Tote.
As far as the spray bottles go, you'll find short ones in the hair care and travel depts of Target or Wal-Mart.

It seems what every one is talking about would work out fine but, what do the people who have the cd changer mounted on the left side shelf use.The T-Tops take up the useable trunk space.

I place all of my cleaning supplies including a jack in a duffel bag. Tons of room and all of my stuff will fit.Nice thing is that I just have to remember to take one item instead of several items on a trip. Posted by HTWLSS (Member # 117) on :

When packing for a trip: 1. Load the entire back seat with car stuff.
2. Bring one change of clothes (the guys tell me if underwear is turned inside out, it's good for another week.) Posted by 02SS#247 (Member # 1273) on :
I got a portable file folder box. The top snaps and it has a handle. The Zaino bottles fit upright and it doesn't take up too much room or move around in the back of what little trunk I have in the vert. I actually leave it in the car all the time. You just never know.

EXACTLY, that's the problem. The T-tops go on the trunk area so there's really no place for a detailler kit except maybe in the rear floorboard behind the front or passenger seats.
