When I first joined SSOA, SLP would give a discount (seems like it was 10%) if you mentioned you were an SSOA member.

Does SLP no longer grant that discount? I just purchased a 35th Anni LE Grille today and asked for the SSOA discount and the salesman said SLP does not such a discount agreement. [Frown]

The SSOA/SLP discount ran for a few months only. There currently is no discount.

The SSOA is working on a 35th Anniversary Registry. All SSOA members with 35th Anniversary LE's will get an additional signed & numbered piece of documentation for their car when the registry is in place.

Thats great news Teri. I think David used disapearing ink when he signed my first letter.I've had it out at shows and the sun faded it away.

The LofA was intended to go into a memory album, so your best bet for displaying at a show is to get a color photocopy of it made so you can tuck your original document in a safe place.
I'm sure you can get Dave to sign it again,
if you send it to him in a protective cardboard mailer with a SASE.

If all else fails, let me know if you need a new LofA. In the past, when members need a replacement of something, they've made a contribution to the SSOA brick fund in exchange for whatever they needed replaced (LofA, sticker/decal).

Teri,

Thanks for the feedback re; the group discount w/ SLP.

The letter w/ the additional signed & numbered piece of documentation for our LE's is a nice offering. Will this letter automatically go out to all SSOA 35th LE owners or will we have to request it?

Thanks & best regards,
John

That hasn't been decided yet.

FYI: Afterthoughts Auto offers a continuous discount to SSOA members. Email them for details.

What additional discount are you offering SSOA members?
It could be added to the list if you have an official amount and procedure when ordering.
Let our webmaster know so SSOA members are informed of exactly what is offered as their discount.

We offer great discounts for all message boards .

Check the Web site for prices www.stealthperf.com
Most of the Products run 10/15% off retail prices.

Thanks Mike

The SSOA isn't a message board. Chirpthird.com is. They're two separate things. The SSOA uses Chirpthird.com as it's host for communication and web services.

If you have a special for our SSOA members that goes beyond your normal 10-15% lower than retail, let our webmaster know so we can pass that along to our membership, so they're aware that they can get something special that the general population can't.

It's not exactly a special if you have across the board discounts as your everyday prices that undercut everyone else.

We're looking for listings of special discounts for SSOA members only.

So what you are trying to say is that by letting you guys know about Stealth Performance's already nice prices, and in turn passing those already great prices to your group, you don't think that is good enough for the SSOA? That the SSOA requires even more than the awesome sale prices that are available?

IF you are looking for freebees, the homeless shelter is open all night and they have soup.

Give Steath Perf a break, Christ, the guy was trying to help you out.

Look, Stealth Performance can't give out a discount to just this board, it's considered profiling.
Second he has a agreement/contract with SLP which does not allow him to do this.

Just like the way business works, manufactors/factories have to charge slightly more if they were to sell products directly to customers rather than dealers which customers can get it cheaper from (deters them from getting the parts from the manufactors plus it both helps the manufactor and the dealer which the manufactor gets money and the dealer gets comission for the parts sold. That's how business works.

If you want this option, you have to deal with the manufactor directly and see if they will allow it or not.

Not only that, Steath Performance has helped me out on many occassions when I needed things, And hooked me up with great deals. Not because I'm part of some "holier than thou" group with "special privliges and needs", but because I've spoken with him time and again on the phone and through email, and treated him with respect. Not demanding that I get special deals and sales on top of already low prices. Hell I'm about to hit the Mid twelves on a Stock LT1 mostly due to him.

Thanx, Mike keep up the good work, SOME of us appreciate it

And I will be in the 11.s next year thanks to Mike and the help he has given me.
Usualy since he is a sponsor on Chirpthird. he is worthy of your patronage.
Mike does have great prices[better than SLP most of the time]and he gives AMAZING service.
I'm sure if the SSOA wants to guaranty Mike a certain # of orders or a few ks in orders he can work out a group rate satisfactory to all parties.
I own a business and have for 20 years,I have a nice shop and support those that support me.
Those that don't,don't get any special consideration from us.
Show me how much you spent here last year and your sponsorship will be 20% of that amount in appreciation. You haven't bought here before, you buy from my competition, ain't that sweet. Are they sponsoring you,NO,awwwww ain't that a shame,,,,,
well neither am I.
Give and take world,,,,MIKE gives a HELL of a lot!!!!!

HTWLSS I thought you were a SLP dealer?
If so, then why don't you give your own members 25% off?

gangreen, Midnight LS1 and Timelord,
Welcome. It's nice to see new faces here.
Once you get a few more posts under your belt, I hope you feel at home with the great people we have on this forum.

Sorry you all took that the wrong way. I think you misunderstood what I said.
The person who started this thread asked if SSOA members still got a discount through SLP (the offer is expired).

Stealth entered the thread as if an offer of a discount was being made to SSOA members that differs from his regular prices.

To keep the thread on topic, I'm trying to clarify if Stealth is offering special rates to SSOA members other than the rates he offers to everyone else. There are businesses that offer discounts to our members from time to time and we like to keep the membership informed of those businesses.

There's no argument that Stealth offers low prices and fast service.

We're in the process of updating our website and will be listing vendors that give SSOA members a discount.
It's as simple as that. Just trying to find out what is offered so we can list the business on the SSOA website.

WOW, look a gift horse in the mouth then tell it to piss off. That's awefully bold of you. Epecially one that's a SPONSOR on this site! And the smarta$$ comments "in between the lines" weren't cool.

I've had nothing but great service from Mike. He is a great guy and I will continue to buy my parts and tell others to buy from him, he has great prices and awesome customer service.....how can you beat that?? Apparently you can....if not I hope you have the ability to apologize to Mike because you will not find a cheaper place on the 'net.

I already apologized for misunderstanding....I know Stealth has a lot of happy customers.

Jeeeez folks,

How can a simple case of misunderstanding get dragged so far? Teri apologized a few times from what I can see, yet it seems some people signed up with Chirp Third just to throw smack at her. She's a volunteer like everyone else in the SSOA, give her a break! And to Mike, that's great you are able to offer low prices and great customer service, but must you carry out your battles on this board? Kiss, make up, and move on.

So whaddya think of them Angels? Wooohoooo!!!! [silly]
