Luke we need some pictures of those cars. Have you driven the 1969 much? Posted by Hookerf14 (Member # 1602) on :
I love that car. I'd like to ask you questions about codes and production numbers if you don't mind. BTW, I was watching a movie on cable with my niece, (Charlies Angels) and there in front of me was this beautiful 69 SS vert with Z11 striping. Have you seen the movie. It's worth it just to see the car.

I can only imagine the feeling to have it home again.
We currently have 3 1st Gen Camaros apart in our garage. Steve has been working hard on them every weekend. The '69 is getting put back to a #'s matching car to sell and Steve's 68's are getting the custom parts that were on the '69. I have pics, but I keep forgetting to upload them. One more thing on the checklist of things to do this weekend.

Are you going to be able to bring yourself to drive it now, or just look at it? I don't know if I could take it out and mess it up!

Speaking of '69 Pace cars -- as I recall, every Chevy dealership was given the opportunity to order ONE 1969 Pace car. and I was at my family's dealership when ours came off the truck.....we sold it to the local Exxon Gas Station owner.....who drove it for several years and it eventually became kinda ratty. He later sold the station and I lost track of him and the pace car. Fast forward to 1997...I walk into the dealership and there, next to a 1997 Anniversary Convertible is a spotless '69 Pace Car....turns out that he never sold the car...but put it away and many years later.....mid 90s.....had it restored. He loaned it to my cousin for display next to the '97 30th Anniversary..... Interestingly enough, it also turns out that he bought a house two blocks from where my parents live and the car is in his garage.... Naturally, I've told him that if he ever wants to sell it.............
