Picking up a new computer tonight does anybody know where I could donate my old one to. Posted by HTWLSS (Member # 117) on :
How old is your old one? What's its list of OEM Equip & Mods? Maybe we have a member in your area who could use a better computer than what they've got.

No he does not sell them but takes old computers that people are getting rid of and wants to make a server at home.

Salvation Army or your local Catholic Charities office (it's not just for Catholics, incase ya didn't know) would probably be happy to take it off of your hands... and give you a receipt to use on your taxes. Posted by Mike'SS 35th (Member # 1358) on :
In Lansing, the Black Child & Family Inst. takes them, refurbs, and gives them to families that would otherwise not have access to the e-world. At least, they did a couple of years ago when I gave an old box to them. If you don't find a good home for the Mac in the metro area, let me know, and maybe we can hook it up to here.

I bought a Dell 8100 a year and a half ago. Pretty nice computer. I have, since upgraded it though. I've also built a couple computers from scratch
