Had my first dyno yesterday. 323.3 rwhp, 334.8 rwt. It was running real rich. Getting it tuned up next week. Numbers should improve. It was done at Seymore Performance in Mechanicsburg,PA. Real nice people there. $50.00 for there pulls. We had 10 cars there fo the Dyno Days.

I just helped a friend put FLP headers on a Z06. I was very impressed with the fit and finish of the product. They went in vey well. Did you have the same experience with the FLP's on your SS and did you have a before and after dyno? Just wondering a little bit about headers. Putting on them on the Z06 yesterday got me to thinking!

Really wish I could have come...it's only 10 minutes away from me, yet, I unfortunately had to work. I'd love to get my first dyno done to my car since I just recently added a bunch of mods to my car. Hopefully soon again in the future perhaps. Posted by 2002Z4CSS (Member # 1393) on :
Nice #'s . After tuning, they will probably be better. Posted by sscamaro (Member # 1330) on :
I didn't install the headers myself. I had them installed. It only took Mike at Rapid Motorsports 2 hours to put them on. I didn't have it dynoed before the headers. I did run it on the strip before and after headers. ET was .5 better and mph was 4mph better. The guy at the dyno shop said I should get another 15-20 rw/hp after a tune-up.

did you ever dyno the '69?
Posted by sscamaro (Member # 1330) on :
No, I never dynoed the 69. I would be afraid to take it up to red-line. The engine has never been apart with 75K miles on it. I don't want to have to rebuild the engine. I know the 69 isn't as fast as the 02 SS.

only 2 hours to install the headers???? That has to be the quickest I have ever heard.
Are you sure? or is that what he told ya??

It only took 2 hours. I was there when they were installed. This guy is really good. He going to tune up my car next week. He has a 99 TransAm that runs in the 9's.

that is pretty amazing. It took me a lot longer than that jsut to change the doggone #8 plug and wire.

I'm not saying it can't be done it 2 hours but I would like to see it myself.
Alot of shops quote 4 or more hours and he is doing it in half the time. Even if he charged $75 an hour its $150 for a header swap, he is real cheap also.
Too bad he isn't closer.

Beleive me, it only took 2 hours. I was there all the time he did it. Cost $325.00. No floor board banging or anything.
