So sorry to hear this Gino. The good thing is that accountants are always needed so hopefully you will have another job lined up soon. Too bad you don't live out here...we are in the process of hiring someone right now. Keep your head up!

D'OH...what terrible timing, what with the engagement and all.
And sadly, since YOU ARE Gino, you have no one to blame but yourself
But seriously, I hope you find something soon.

Sorry to hear that. As someone who's been in that situation as recently as July, I know how you probably must feel.
Just don't get too stressed about it and you'll be OK. Things ended up working out for the better for me. I found a great job 3 weeks later and have been laughing about it ever since.
Best of luck to you.

Thank You all for posting...........I truly and honestly feel your support. Its just hard.....we lost a few large clients and I have been here for 3.5 years (since college).......They payed me a severance of 4 weeks and vaction of 2 weeks.......so I will be ok for a while......even if i knew this was going to happen, I would have still have gotten engaged and still bought the rock.....at least tax season is coming up!........But once again thank you. Do you have any certifications that would allow you to do some freelance tax work...could bring in some extra dough while you're job hunting.

I hate looking for a job when I don't have one...it's hard to keep things in perspective.
I'm sure it won't take long at all and these things do have a way of working out for the better.

Hey, at least Mr. Bush is on your side and just signed a bill giving you more support in this difficult time.
LONG LIVE G.W. BUSH!
Good luck in your career search. Don't be afraid to look outside the box and do something you've always wanted to do! This may end up being an opportunity disguised in some short term pain.

So sorry to hear that you were laid off. You may want to think about going into business for yourself. I know I would rather be my own boss and own my own business than have a boss and work for someone else. Run an ad in your local newspaper and see what that gets you.

Really sorry to hear that Gino. As I recall, you have a degree in accounting...and there's always someone looking for your talents...esp. with your personality.
And while GM is not hiring, I urge you to log onto www.gm.com and click on careers and go thru that part of the site...you never know...we may just be looking at the right time.....
Good luck, buddy!
