Looks like the fender ,rocker and 1/4 panel were saved. Did you miss that pole in the background?

Posted by M3EATER (Member # 1731) on :

Missed the pole... only because it's a VERY big plow pile that I slammed into.

Fender is gouged from opening the door, rocker is pushed in a little in the middle, must have been from the door pushing in...I don't think he actually hit the rocker.

all the inner pannels of door are broken

D'OH! That looks worse than I imagined when I read your other post. Hopefully it's all cosmetic and the repairs go well. I didn't realize there was snow on the ground...what an idiot for trying to pass you in those conditions! And, speaking from experience, start looking into being reimbursed for diminished value.

My sister was in a similar accident (in a cavalier), her car was totaled. I hope for the best for you. [Frown]

Glad that you are okay.

A good body shop should be able to make your bird look like new again. [Smile]

Probably gonna cost a pretty penny. My car didn't look too bad after mine (considering hitting 4 parked cars) and cost over 9K for parts and labor. I woudln't doubt that the suspension needs work, at least allignment, etc. Just make sure she's back how you want it!

Make sure the body shop hangs it on a frame machine. You'd be surpriced how little it takes, and how much it costs to fix. Demand factory parts. A good body shop will use oem parts.

Thanks for the support!

Actually it's going to end up sitting for a while because I have some prototyping to do on it & can't have it gone for a couple weeks. The repairs will have to wait until I'm done doing that work.

The rocker panel is pushed in in the center about 1" (compared to the side skirt, which is OK....).

Sigh.......... [Roll Eyes]
