What engine sizes were available from the factory for the '67 Camaro?
TIA.

Thanks for the info Greg!
There is a ( suposed one owner, all original ) 1967 Camaro RS/SS with a 350ci for sale in the local AutoTrader going for $13,500 CND. What's that in green backs.... about $9,000. Wouldn't such a vehicle be able to fetch much more that that? Posted by 2002Z4CSS (Member # 1393) on :

It may need a full restoration even if it is a one owner.

The 427ci engine was not available from the factory in 1967. The 427ci engine was not available from the factory till the 1969. As an iron block and as an aluminium block(ZL1)

There were 2 versions of the 327 available in '67. One had a 2 bbl. carb and was rated at 210 HP (ran on reg. fuel). There was also the more familiar 327 - 275 HP 4 bbl. engine (premium fuel)that was available in all the other Chevy lines as well at the time, except the Corvette (base on the 'Vette was a 327- 300 HP motor).
Best regardSS,
Elie

...Correct as well And similarly for the 396 there were 3 versions, ...the 325/350/375 hp. ...like Greg mentioned it could need a full resto, ...but sounds like a neat car

My understanding is in 1967 if you had an SS Camaro with a 350,the only carb was the 4bbl.

...I believe all 1st Gen SS's (Camaro's) had 4bb carbs (whether a 350 or 396).

Yes, the 4bbl was on the SS. THe standard 2bbl 327 was a 210hp 2bbl, or you could get the optional 275hp 4bbl. The 350 was a 4 barrel.
In 69 they also had a two barrel 350, and a few different ratings on the 350 4bbl (255hp,and 300hp on the SS), and did you know you could also get a 69 with a 307!! YUcK! Posted by RagSS (Member # 1127) on :

Yeah, or how I like to look at it ... the left over scraps from making the 302s (combining 283s and 327s).
