We regret to announce that due to economic factors beyond our control, we have been forced to cancel our 2003 Race Day events in Palmdale, Calif. (April 26); Indianapolis, Ind. (June 21); and Bristol, Tenn. (September 13). The Englishtown, N.J. Race Day will still be held on October 11th as originally planned.
Since its inception in 2000, the Race Day series has been our way of saying thanks to the thousands of loyal customers who have supported SLP Performance Parts throughout the years. Unfortunately, we have found that the tremendous expenditures associated with staging these totally free events on a nationwide basis are simply not sustainable in the current economic climate. Canceling these dates now, while difficult in the short term, will allow us to refocus our efforts on maintaining the high standards of quality and customer service to which you have become accustomed.
As always, we appreciate your support and look forward to serving you in the future.
Best Regards, The SLP Performance Parts Staff

How come Pontiac clubs do not have big events like Camaro clubs have?

Because there are not enough of them out there to qualify as a "club?" Just kidding.

Ahem....you WILL be at the T.H. Show this year....and all Firebirds, I am sure, are welcome. There were a few last year and I'm sure Tom (and a whole bunch of Camaro owners) would welcome any and all Firebirds.
And being that you had a specific 'title' last fall, you WILL follow instructions!! Posted by 2K1SunsetSS (Member # 854) on :

Shocking but understandable I guess.
At least the NJ show lives for now. Of course wouldn't it be good to re-schedule NJ earlier now that the other obligations don't interfere. Posted by Mark IXZD 150 (Member # 235) on :
I can't believe the Thunderbolt couldn't bring in enough money to keep "SLP appreciation Day" afloat. Posted by chrisL (Member # 97) on :

again, seperate companies. CADs were from SLP Performance Parts, not SLP Engineering.
Tbolt sales have nothing to do with CAD.

Probably too late in the season to get another Saturday at etown. I'd be surprised if they switched the date from October.
