I tried to register with the SLP forum and I got a message stating that I could not register because I have a free internet provider (yahoo) and they are doing that to prevent abuse.

I do pay for my internet connection, I just don't have aol, msn, or earthlink.

It's been like that for as long as I can remember. I believe they are trying to minimize 'spam', so they require 'ISP type' email addresses. People have 'concerned' about it in the past, but not sure if there are plans to change the policy.

I think if you have a static I.P. address that Dave can let you in.

email Dave directly and ask him. The worst he can say is no.

I had to use my ISP's email account to join. I am waiting for a moderator to accept me.

When I registered, I waited and waited for acceptance. After a few months, I left a nice message on Dave's voice mail asking about my registration status. Within 15 minutes, I was activated. I think that my registration may have been overlooked the first time.

I've been added but am in the moderation queue at the moment before being able to post on the board. [Cool]
