This is one question I haven't been able to get an answer for ever since I took possession of my 35th edition SS in November 2001. I originally ordered my car with the SS grill but found out later that GM wouldn't allow it. Can anyone tell me why? Thank you. [Smile]

They wanted all of the cars to look the same, so some SLP content items were not available.

It may of had something to do with GM warranting the stripes and paint on the SLP grill.The 35th LE grill was also very late coming out in production.
