So again this morning.. I go out to the Blazer.. stick the key in.. and the damn thing will not even attempt to start.. no sound.. no click.. NOTHING. This is the same thing that happened before!
OK.. so I check the volts.. all is good.. put my battery tester to the battery.. all is good.. I try to jump start off my wife's car.. still NOTHING... and then finally I pull my battery out of the Camaro.. which I know is fine.. even the same model of factory battery.. and guess what.. NOT EVEN A CLICK! (yet I have all factory accessories)
Last time I took it in and had a it towed.. they told me the computer check resulted in no problems.. but then magically the Blazer would at least let them attempt to start it..
SO.. I need to know.. once and forall.. is there a fuse I can pull or a way to reset the PCM and any and all modules on this car.. in case it is locked out somehow.. I'm tired of being dicked over by the damn dealership (excuse the language)

Try to wiggle the shifter as you hold the key in the crank position.You definitly have a bad power or ground connection.Do the cluster warning lights work fine for the bulb prove out when the key is turned on? You may need to get a voltmeter or 12v test light on the purple wire at the starter and while someone holds the key in the crank position,see if there is 12v at the starter on that purple wire.If there is power,the starter relay (solenoid) or starter is bad.

You reset everything when you disconnected the battery. Did you try the lights or anything else that works without the key.

Problem resolved.. WEIRD!
My friend who owned a 2000 Blazer told me to get in.. turn the key three times while pushing on the gas pedal.. sure enough.. BOOM.. she started on the 3rd or 4th try.. and now it starts with no problem.. I'm so confused.

That sequence of events should of had nothing to do with the engine cranking over.Sounds like a loose starter connection. The only bad thing now is the concern is gone and you will not pin point the cause unless you perform a visual check of all of the battery cable connections and starter connections.

Was *all* of the electrical out, or just the starter not responding?
A while back, I had a problem where my 93 Bravada would just occasionally go totally dead. It was intermittent, though. It finally failed "hard" enough for it to still be broken when it arrived at the service department on the tow truck.
After tearing everything apart - they finally decided that it was caused by a wire they pinched when they'd replaced the heater core earlier.
