On my son's 1994 S-10 SS. Not as bad as I thought it would be.I spent a extra time trying to get the old y-pipe off at the left exhaust manifold.Someone must have taken it loose, broke a stud and nut and bolted thru the manifold and welded the y-pipe to the exhuast pipe that fits where the cat used to be. The left side was harder than the right side because I has to remove the steering shaft and power steering pulley and then the pump. The right side slid right in even with the a/c hoses in the way and the engine oil dipstick.I also removed the factory clutch fan and added an electric fan inside the factory fan shroud so it is hidden.Even wired in a nice adjustable temperature sensor for the fan and it cycles on and off just like a car with a factory electric fan does. The 4.3L V6 sure does rev quicker now! Can't wait to see if these 2 mods help truck get to the 15.0 ET.Next mod will be 1.6 ratio roller rocker arms and a SLP 2800 stall torque convertor. Can you say easy 14's?
Sorry Brian, this took longer than I thought and I started later than I thought after pulling weeds.

Sounds cool..... I'll be currious how it does at the track. I was going to do all that stuff to my xtreme that I had. But it had to go to make room for the SS. Posted by Hawkeye (Member # 88) on :
Exactly what I said to Mark, he probably ran into trouble with the header install!
Oh well - another time. Should be all clear for Thursday night at Milan.

Sounds like an awesome time is going to be had with the modifications. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see 14s as it is a pretty light truck. Congrats on a job well done Z4 and I bet your son is going to be thrilled.

That was a big problem.I was pulling weeds and nothing was getting done on the header install. What would these kids do without dear old dad to help out? Posted by 35TH ED/ed (Member # 1709) on :

I know what you mean . Told the son to set the timer on the TV and went to bed the other night . At 4am the wife told him to shut off the TV. The next day asked him why it was turned back on he said "I thought you wanted the timer set incase we fell asleep" .I swear that if you dont wright it down they just dont know what to do Posted by 2002Z4CSS (Member # 1393) on :
