*go to the top of the page and click on "my profile"
*then "view/update profile"
*where it says Avatar Image, click on "Select a different Avatar Image"
*a new window should pop and you can select one from the ones provided (blah), or at the bottom of that page, enter the web address of a picture from a place already on the web.(to do that, whatever pic you see on the web, right click the pic and go to properties. Then copy and past the Address (URL).)

Once you get a few more posts under your belt, you'll be able to select or add an avatar.
