Tim and I will be leaving for Texas after work on Thursday to see if I can adopt another of the Fbodfather's kids.
If everything checks out we'll be bringing home an abused, pewter, 6 speed, hard top, cloth seat, 99 Z28 to set up as a dedicated autoX/track car.
Hopefully the two will be sufficient to carry me through to the 5th gen. Posted by BadRag (Member # 1566) on 11 June, 2003 11:03 PM:
Sounds like a fun project, have a safe trip & good luck.

Not surprised at all after your trip here. You'll have to let us know how badly she's been abused.

Thanks all. With Tim along I feel pretty comfortable with being able to make the right call.

Somewhat coincidental ...my search was for White, Silver, Pewter or Black as I expect to do the !A/C mod. (Black would have gotten painted a light color.)
I do like the idea that it's a pewter '99 though ... kind of makes them fraternal twins.
Actually first choice would have been Hugger Orange ...like someone would part with one of those for cheap

Art-
I hope the trip goes very well for you. If you have time to make any stops along the way, we could meet up for lunch/dinner or something. I'm assuming Tim is the same Tim that was at Bragg Smith. It would be great to see you all again! Let me know.

Hi Amy,
Yup, same Tim
We'll be pushing pretty hard to fit the trip into a long weekend but we still have to eat.
If you do MapQuest driving directions from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Grand Prairie, Texas you'll know exactly where we plan to be.
We expect to average 60 MPH on the way down and should be on the road by 4 this afternoon, put in a 7 hour shift and then be back on the road by 8 am Friday.
We have no idea when we'll be leaving Grand Prairie, it all depends on how things go but I sure hope it's no later than 3 PM Saturday .
I'll have my phone on ...204-771-7291 .... if our route is anywhere near you and you want to try and track us down.
It'd be great if we could hook up.

Most excellent! Good luck and hopefully you will be able to announce a "safe arrival" very shortly! Drive safe and have a ball! Perhaps a little bit of leverage might be in order - "I think I can swing this if you can guarantee that 5th Gen in a couple of years!
