Teri do you have a price for the die casts yet?
Would you prefer cash, check, money orders, stamps, Euro's, Peso's or even the Canadian dollar
Seriously would you like payment sent before BG or would you like it at BG, and who should we make it out to?

It looks like they'll be no more than $25 U.S. each. DO NOT send any money to me. Cash in person in Bowling Green is the way to go.

From the first post in this thread.......
quote:Originally posted by HTWLSS: For those of you not going to the event, you will need to make arrangements with one of your local club members attending the event to bring one back home with them for you. Case sales (6 to a case) are encouraged so we can get them out there to you all and distributed through local clubs.
To purchase shipping cartons, padding/bubble wrap, account for damage, etc., the price of these things will keep going up. To keep the price below the cost that the distributors are charging, we want people to either come to Bowling Green or arrange to get one from someone else who is going (note, WE paid the set up fees and all other associated costs to produce them, so we're just trying to break even and be able to buy our NCM brick).
I have enough on my plate right now and don't want to hassle with individual shipments. Once we distribute all we can in B.G., if any are left, case sales/group purchases may be possible, but we'll visit that topic after the event.

Since I don't know of anyone in the Florida area, Please keep me in mind if you have any left and decide to ship any. I'll be glad to pay the shipping. I do know that it would be a pain in the ARSE! So if you don't I understand. Gus

We have so many SSOA members in FL, it shouldn't be difficult to hook up w/someone.
What is your local club affiliation?

OK OK I went back to the beginning and read your thread... "The SSOA die cast cars have been shipped to us by the manufacturer.
By now, you've seen the announcements and eBay auctions from a few of Welly's distributors for this item. The cars you see being sold early are not being distributed by the SSOA."
Our name is written right on the door. They can't even get "Super Sport Owners Association" right...... *sigh* and the total run is 2000 (not 1998).
I guess when the distributors run out, we'll at least have our stock with our specially numbered decals on them.

If anyone wants to get an SSOA 1:18 scale die cast, please make sure you come find me at the Camaro/Firebird Gathering, Sept 18-21, in Bowling Green, Ky.
They'll be available starting on SSOA ThurSSday for $25.

I saw these for sale at "The Car is the Star" probably two months ago or better. That's an expensive store in Kansas City that sells die cast stuff. They were way more than $25, though. I don't remember exactly, but I think it was like $40. Posts: 142 | From: Kansas City | Registered: Oct 2002

Pay for the item when you pick it up from me in B.G. If someone else is picking the car up on your behalf, you'll have to work it out w/them since they will have to pay for what they pick up.

I would also be willing to bring some back to NC for anyone not going to BG, but they would have to be willing to come by the house or to a car event in the Raleigh area to pick them up.

We'll be on our FRS 2-way radio on Channel 3, Subchannel 8. (If you haven't bought one....run out and get one....it's invaluable during the weekend to keep up w/everyone, and great for caravaning.)
Just call for Teri and eventually I'll hear you. On Saturday you'll find me at the show site and for sure at the Banquet.

35TH ED/ed is picking one up for me, I was looking to find out if he wanted the money before or after BG. Should have clarified, I guess.

Perhaps you could arrange it w/someone in the East Coast Camaro Club? Talk to Ken Howe.

Of course! In fact, we have 4 cases, but are waiting for the sequentially numbered decals to arrive before we distribute them to our local members.

How far south of Denver? Depending on which way we come back, we might be passing through your town. Town name? (So I can map it on our route.)
