I had to replace that 9 quart Moroso oil pan in my son's 1979 Camaro with the LS6. It kept bottoming out and eventually knocked the oil drain plug.I installed a 6 quart Milodon oil pan that has plenty of ground clearance.Notice the forged steel crankshaft with huge 4 bolt main cap bolts and the 7/16 rod bolts. Looks like a bullet proof lower end for sure...from GM.

How nuts are we that we (at least I do) love to look at this stuff? [Confused] [Big Grin]

nice!! I am with Daddy. I love looking at this stuff.

That oil pan was HUGE! The smaller one should be better at not bottoming out - plus you'll save about $15 when you change the oil since you don't need the extra 3 quarts of M1. [Big Grin]

I still can't get over the new oil pan. Man it is real [Cool] . Your son must really love that car now. And it is really going to stand out.

Maybe next weekend I can check it out. Thanks for thinking of me. [Big Grin]
