I could not stand to see the S-10 wheels on that 1979 Camaro,so I bought my son a mint used set of Weld Rod Lites for his car.Really changes the look of the car.The 17" wheels he had on it from his S-10 SS rubbed the fender lips over bumps and made it hard to steer.I must be a good dad!

I love reading and seeing pics that you post on his car! Gives me a lot of ideas for the 79 Netta we bought for our 15 year old. Now if I could only talk him out of the Netta so I can have it. He won't take a Pinto for it... He's says the only way I can have it is if we find him a Super Bee! yeah....right!!

His birthday is not until October 1st. I figured the car show/drag racing season will be over and at least he can enjoy the new look for a while.

Its nice to get gifts like those from the parents. I got my current summer tires from my parents and grandmother for an early birthday gift in the spring. Otherwise, I'd be driving on bald tires or in more debt.

Very sweet guesture, wish there were more Dads out there like you....all mine told me was "No you can't have a BB gun, you'll put somebodys eye out"..

Funny! I raised 2 great kids and they are lucky enough to have had nice things when I could afford them.
