The great car modifiers are past history now SLP! The prices that are commanded for Nicky, Motion, and Yenko cars are huge! After reading Fbody Fathers comments on this board we would be kicking ourselves 20 years from now if we sell our great cars! Remember to keep all the paperwork and all the stock parts if you modify it! Thanks to BERGER CHEVY for still holding up and having GMMG (Matt Murphy) and crew, still doing work on these awesome cars! Look at ebay these cars are going for next to nothing now, in the future you will at least get your total investment back plus profit if you keep it nice! Plus all the great people you get to meet at events and cruise nights is incredible! Look at all the work Teri from the SSOA does to keep up Camaro interest and Scott Settlemire (Who should be chairman of GM), with the big BG event coming up quickly and other things! Lets just hope we keep SSOA strong and Scott healthy (When he finally quits smoking this year after we have 1,000 cars show up at BG). Posted by SSHEETS (Member # 1989) on :
Yeah, Scott should be CEO or maybe...hey isn't there an election coming up
I bought mine to keep it, I hope life cooperates.

Those Matt Murphy ZL1's are not exactly cheap...on eBay for $93,000-113,000!!! i'd give my eye teeth for one of the Phase III ZL1's!!! By the way, does anyone hear anything on a magazine test of one of these in the near future? I heard a rumbling, but that's all. By the way, Automobile magazine says SLP is not dead...but WILL be producing a package for the new GTO!!! Andy

SLP Engineering is NOT dead - just reorganizing into one central location. SLP PP, AG & Eng. will all be in Toms River NJ. Ed Hamburger still owns all of it. I am off to other things.

Yeah, I think Hot Road magazine is doing an article on the Zl1. I was at the Hot Road Power Tour in Lake Charles, LA and one of them asked the owner of an Orange ZL1 if they would mind doing a cover shot and possibly article about the car.
I would think in the next few months something will hit the news stands

I can gleefully guarnatee that I will never be selling my two Camaros ever. I am a Camaroholic and have loved the car since its inception in 1967.
The 1969 SS/RS with the 396/375 hp L89 is my total favorite. I own a 1986 Camaro Z28 IROC and a 2002 35th Anniversary LE. These cars are my life and am very proud to own them and will until I leave this world. I am even thinking of being buried in one of them. Posted by cytruffle (Member # 1733) on :

I did not mean SLP was out of business just out of producing Camaros and firebirds!
