I am currently looking to buy a Harley. I am looking for a Heritage Softail or a Road King. Really want the Heritage.

The prices in New England are crazy! THey are asking 5K over MSRP. Sneezy checked his area for me. They want about 1K over MSRP.

Do any of you know what they are getting in your area? I just want to to know if I travel to get the bike, can I get one at MSRP or Heaven Forbid, below??

Thanks

Hmmm..Maybe I need to ride to York (25 min drive) to the actual factory!! Took a tour once as well. I"ll check prices around here for ya Dan. I take it you're looking for brand new?? If so, that will be a lot harder. Last time I was at the plant (over a year ago) they said every Harley that comes off the line is usally sold [Eek!] I"ll keep my eyes open [Smile]

... check Mike's Famous Harley (no relation) in Wilmington, DE.
We stop there every year on our way up to SLP Day and have lunch. They set aside a big part of their parking lot for our caravan.

I already called them Mike and I mentioned the Caravan!! They were honest about the business. They are charging over MSRP there. But thanks for the tip.

Hadn't thought of that Brian, but sure. I wonder what it takes to bring it back over the border.

How about Sheldons in Auburn MA?
How about (insert name here) in leominster MA?

Is it important that you get one real soon?
I would wait till the snow starts falling the dealers usually change their tune in the winter and actually want to move some inventory.

Dan I'm building a custom this winter you should look into building one the way you want.

Did you finish the car yet? It looks like I will be waiting. IT is hard to even find and 03 still. Maybe they will deal on an 04.

Thanks, no FLSTC/I there either! THey are hard to find. Worse than finding the Z06. Maybe I should try and find Harley internet discussion boards and ask there? Doesn't seem like the same trype of cients as here though [Smile]

Dan,

Bud's H-D here in Evansville, IN sells at MSRP. That is where I got my '03 V-Rod. You won't be far from Evansville if you are going to the Bowling Green gathering. I don't know if they have the specific model you are looking for but they have a LOT of bikes.

Just a thought.
