Eaton, Zexel-Torsen, or Auburn. I think I'm getting the 'left turn under 10 mph' noise coming from the rear. Most people have said that you're going to have to replace the differential when this happens, along with carrier bearings and all sorts of other parts that aren't guns, parachutes and powerpoint.

Honestly, if you have the money, get a 12 bolt or Ford 9 inch rear end, especially if you plan on internal engine mods, high stall converter, etc... The 10 bolt is not the best out there by a long shot.

FYI Chevy High Performance magazine has a good article on changing out differentials in 4th gen. F-bodies in this month's issue. It may be worthwhile for you to read up on what they say, though no brand is recommended over another...
BTW, I've always had some rearend noise coming from mine since day one. Still runs great, though I don't dump the clutch... I like to avoid that dreaded "pop" that the stock differentials like to make when our LS1's prove not to be the weakest link.

From a strictly performance around corners perspective the Autocross crowd swears by the Torsen T2R.
That is what will be going into the AutoX car I'm assembling for next year.

You may just need 2 oz. of modifier to quiet it down-lots cheaper than a new rear end.

right you are Mr. Jeff Y. Had a noise in mine since day 1. Pick up a small bottle from the dealer, only put 1 oz. in. Been quiet ever since.
Oh yea - part #992694 - Limited Slip Differential Lubricant Additive. Still have most of the bottle left over. The bottle said to use entire bottle, I only put about 1 oz. in.
