Do you have to get the Subscription service in order to share pictures? The free service seems to require giving people your e-mail address to allow pictures to be viewed. How do the rest of you allow people to link to Webshots on a posting? Posted by vargod (Member # 1116) on :
I have an account

Not sure what your question is. To link to a shot, go the your community page off of your album page, bring up the shot and then copy the url and paste it here.

When I do that anyone who links to it is told they have to be logged in. I am trying the free Webshots service and I don't see how you can set it up so others can view the pictures. Do you use the free service or the pay service for Webshots? I may be missing something subtle here, but I don't know what else I neeed to do to allow others to view my albums.

Check the album properties - do you have public checked?

OK.....I think I figured it out. The album is marked public so that was OK. But using the URL from MY PHOTO'S doesn't work in so far as others accessing it. But when you go to PREVIEW IN COMMUNITY and then use that URL, it appears you can share the pictures if you post the URL. That makes sense.
Thanks for helping everyone.
