To forget is not possible. The memory is part of our DNA now, we are different in a way that is permanent. We don't simply see pictures of that day,we feel each image as a physical blow. A chance glimpse of "Sept11" printed on a milk jug last week hit me like a billy-club to the chest-it stopped me cold.

We will never forget those innocent civilians that lost their lives in NY, PENN, or at the Pentagon. Also take a momement for all those who have lost their lives since then in our war against terrorism worldwide.

tough day indeed Gino.
listening in to the ceremonies this morning at ground zero... the kids of two HS classmates who perished that day got to read some of the names of the victims.
it put some lump in my throat.

It will be etched in my memory forever. Although it happened quite a distance from where we live, it touched our hearts, here, as well; - one of the co-pilots of the planes was born in a city 30 miles from here. - one of the passengers on one the planes lived and worked in Waterloo. - I was stranded in Phoenix on the 11th and luckily was able to get on the first plane out, the following Saturday. The family behind me in line, at the Phoenix airport, was travelling home to NYC. The wife's brother worked at the WTC, and they hadn't received any word of his where-abouts. They had been living at the Phoenix airport since Wednesday (the 12th) waiting to get a plane home. I still remember the look of pain and exhaustion on their faces, fearing the worst.

I agree with you Gino it is tough for ALL in NYC .My brother in law and roommate moved from the city now in Miami .The In-law was on a train going into NYC and saw it happen . His friend was having coffee on the roof and saw one of the planes hit the WTC also. They said the mood of the city was so different after that they had to get out.
