A dealer cant void your warranty unless the aftermarket part caused the failure of the OE component.

The factory warranty on your original exhaust manifolds is now obsolete.

Unfortunately, a dealer can refuse to do warranty work on any car for any excuse they can come up with. My son had a spun bearing on his differential and 3 dealers refused to fix/replace it because he had "suspension" mods, most specifically the SFC's. Obviously it doesn't affect the diff in any way, but they refused to work on it. It even says in the owners manual that a dealer can refuse to do warranty work on a car for whatever reason they wants. Here, dealers don't want to do warranty work because it doesn't pay as much as non-warranty work does. So how good is a warranty anymore, not very. I hate to say it but GM service is pathetic. If you have a friend at a dealer you are much more likely to get the work done though.

thats what seperates good dealers from the bad ones. unfortunately, I agree, there are MANY more bad ones than good.
