I live 15 minutes away from Bloomington, and while I'm obviously biased....I've heard it's one of the best.
This is a beautiful area to live and Bloomington is a very vibrant town.
It's only 50 miles south of Indy and has all sorts of recreational activities available.

IU BOOOO!!! Purdue Graduate here. Just kidding, though. Don't know about how the optometry school is, but the partying is pretty good. Posted by el ess1 (Member # 1544) on :
I don't know.....I just can't "see" myself going there......
But I have a distant cousin who I think used to go there in the mid-80s from a discussion I remember having with her a long while back at a family gathering. Don't know if she ever finished or not, she was book-smart but kinda flighty....I think that shcool's been around for a long time, so I'm sure it can't be one of the sucky ones. Sorry I have no other input.

What specifically are you wanting to find out about?
Posted by xero (Member # 2001) on :
Just trying to find out about the town and if it would be a better place to go to school than the others i am looking at that, chicago, which I have lived before and its nice, and fulerton California... trying to find things that would make me wanna go to Bloomington over the others.. The obvious differences are that Bloomington is a small(er) town....are you comfortable in urban settings?
Bloomington is only an hour south of Indy with all it has to offer....it also will have a much lower cost of living....
I don't know about how large Fullerton, Ca. is or even where it is.....
Chicago winters have to suck.......
