Does anyone on the board have this? I'm thinking of picking one up since I might have found a mod friendly dealer. Only going to pick one up if I can find a reasonable price though....

when I bought my car back in '99, I also bought an extended warranty that covers just about everything, no deductible. It cost me 1700 bux, was financed over 12 months without any finance charges.
When my A4 went on the car last year, I dropped it off, was given a rental, picked it up 4 days later and had nothing out of pocket.
Total repair bill: 2600 bux and change.
They're something to consider, with what parts and labor costs these days.
Even if you do own a shop, with thousands of $$$ worth of test and tune equipment, what's your time worth.

Thanks 99 Hoss, that is exactly what I'm worried about. When I got the car, I thought it would be heavily modded by now and I would have a beater daily driver. Unfortunately, it is still a daily driver and these corvette parts are expensive. For the right price, I'm picking one up.

I did the same thing, bought a GMPP extended warranty about 1 year after I bought my 2001 bird. It covers powertrain only, and thus far, I have never had to use it, but its nice to know its there when I need it. Of course, as much as I drive, its worth it to me.

How much does the powertrain warranty run FireChicken? Thanks.

I bought my 2002 LE in Dec 01 and paid $850.00 for a GM Major guard warranty that listed for $1800.00 it is 6 yr 75K $50 deductible!

Thanks! Erin, sent you some additional info...

I think the $0 deductible is best, because the deductibles apply to each repair. Not each visit.

Thanks 3rdCamaro, I'll check it out. Doesn't hurt to look, but I'm leaning towards Erin because she's been very helpful. By the way, can the GM card earnings be used towards an extended warranty? Post 100, YAHOO!
