"The CTS-V will arrive in dealerships, beginning in January, priced at $49,995, including destination and delivery. CTS-V is the first in the new V-Series line of Cadillac vehicles, and features a 400-horsepower 5.7-liter V8, six-speed manual transmission (virtually the same engine as the Corvette Z06), large Brembo performance brakes at all four corners, 18-inch wheels and tires, retuned shock absorbers and a host of interior and exterior styling refinements.
The car will be produced at GM’s Lansing Grand River assembly center, the award-winning manufacturing site for the CTS, SRX luxury utility and future STS luxury sedan. "

SSweet! I can just see my grandfather now driving one of those. He drives just like a teenager, lol. Nevertheless, I would love to see an XLR-V version!!! Posted by Mark IXZD 150 (Member # 235) on :
Hmmmmmm... very tempting.
I have the funds from what I've saved plus what I got for my Camaro... plus my GM card money I've accumulated.... a custom paint scheme.... plus a cam... Posted by Bonequark (Member # 1923) on :
This is a very good sign that at least some folks in GM are headed in the right direction. Now if they can bring a 400-hp Camaro out under $30K, I will be in heaven!

Not bad. Even a used M5 still runs in the mid $50's. I thought for sure it would be more than that. Congrats to GM for building a high power sedan with solid underpinnings for a decent price (relatively speaking of course). Posted by MM (Member # 1247) on :

Be careful what you ask for.... but I doubt you'll see a V8 for under 30G's.... heck a 4 door V6 family-truckster (impalla, GP, etc.) runs about that today... try closer to 40.
