Excellent news Tom, did you identify the problem with the old pump?

Unfortunatly no. I took the old pump apart and can see nothing wrong with it. I put in a new pump and pressure appears steady at just under 3/4 of the guage range. I let it run about 15 minutes. Still need to do a good test ride.

Cool! Glad you're under pressure again!

Now what's going on with those college kids?

If there was nothing found wrong with the oil pump, maybe there was a stuck pressure relief valve.

Excellent!

Seems to be some sort of pattern here ...I finally got my car back Friday, and you follow up with getting yours running again.

Hopefully we'll both be going strong for the forseeable future [Smile]

That's good news, Thom.

BTW - Was the replacement a stock pump, or did you go after-market?
