going to put your cars up for their winter rest?
[Eek!] [Eek!] [Eek!] [Eek!]

Yep.....it's getting close to the time when the weather will be turning lousy. [Mad] [Mad]

That's one of the advantages of living in the South...no winter hibernation required down here...but having lived in the North most of my life, I feel for you because I used to dread the winter lay-up.

Mid Movember Here

no garage here so I use a Noah weather shield car cover. I also take of the chrome rims and put on the cheap steel rims with blizzaks snow tires.
Its the best I can do under the circumstances

I also don't have a garage (working on getting one built) so I use a Noah weather shield car cover. I still sometimes use my SS if the roads are dry, and there isn't a bunch of salt on them.

I may have driven my SS for the last time last night. If the weather stays nice I may drive it more this month.I will store it from October to April.Maybe take it out to attend a indoor car show in February.Hard to believe that the season is almost over already. [Frown]

My 72 will be put away for the winter at the end of the month , but if the weather is good it just takes a few minutes to get it out of the Garage. The other cars are covered up with car covers but I have to drive one or the other . I am disabled so if the weathers bad I just dont go any where till the roads are cleaned up . I really do need a beater though.

Mine goes into semi hibernation - if it's cold
and dry I'll go around the block. If not,
when the snow flies, she rests.

I'll be keeping mine in driving condition until there's salt on the roads (usually the end of November). Then in goes the Sta-bil fuel conditioner, plywood goes on the garage floor and the car cover becomes permanently attached to the car until the salt is washed off the roads in the Spring. [Frown]

I'm with Cy...it's finally cooled down enough to take the t-tops off. Oh yeah...I think there's about 20 minutes in January when we get our annual "blizzard". I don't drive the SS then.

End of October or middle of November depending on what the weather is like. I'll usually put it back on the road first or second week of April.

Mine was put away back in Aug. 22nd, but being that I am living and working overseas I only get to drive my car about 25 days out of the year. Only have 3200 miles on the ticker.

Just sold my other Camaro ( red,v6). Hopefully
I can acquire a "winter" driver so my SS doesn't
have to endure snow,salt, etc.

I ususally put mine up at the end of October, unless it snows earlier.

For me it's when we get our first snowfall and the sand/salt trucks start spreading their loads on the road. That's usually around the end of November/beginning of December. At that point I only use my Silverado and if the roads are clear I'll drive my '99 convertible (with the top up [Smile] ).
