Hmmm...a very creative use of the '53 body kit.
I'm not so sure how I feel about that, either...it's a lot to take in!

it would look better without the chrome

Oooo...I like it! That is really unique. Posted by Mark IXZD 150 (Member # 235) on :
Hey, it's that guy's expression of his own car. I'll give him credit for pulling it off. Posted by HTWLSS (Member # 117) on :
After looking at it longer, it's the wheels that throw the look of it off for me. I would like to see it w/the Z06 wheels on it so they go w/the brake ducts.

I have seen other Corvettes with the old front and back end before.Must be some sort of body kit available.

The back angle just looks too cool.
After seeing the silver car pic...the front fenders look to "bulbous".
Still like it a lot though. Posted by mhayman (Member # 146) on :
I have seen a few of these including a ZO6 convertible. They can be done pretty well actually but even though they are interesting to look at, I could never do that to a C5 myself.
On one of the TV shows on TNN they had a segment on one. It was on quite a while ago.

You really need to see one in person ............. I saw one at Purifoy Chevrolet in Ft. Lupton, Colorado ....................... they are really cute and nicely done Posted by Hawkeye (Member # 88) on :
Not for me! But all right I guess.

Doesn't do anything for me,prefer the new look !!!

I don't like it. But then I never liked the early 1st Gen until the 56 Vette came out. I am not a big fan of the 5th gen (looks wise)either so I guess it doesn't matter.....obviously this person likes the looks.
My favorite Vettes are the second gen, the early third gens, and the fourth gen.

The front is fine but I sure would have gone with a later model back.

Looks like the wrench time is in it ! Posted by RHT (Member # 902) on :
Hate it. Okay, he pulled it off ,that's comendable. But, I hate it. Just plain ugly and stupid.

Not too bad, would like to see it in person though.

I can see what they are doing. Not bad if you like the 53 body style (which I dont care too much for). The side Z06 vents and the hardtop body lines along with the ugly wheels makes it really bad though. JMO

To each their own. Its a unique car, but I wouldn't buy one for myself.

Absolutely unattractive (from all angles), IMO. It is definitely unique, but the C5/C1 styles clash horribly.
My preference (in order): C2 - '63-'67 C5 - '97-'04 C4 - '84-'96 C1 - '53-'62 C3 - '68-'82
