My SSOA letter of auth lists my SLP production number as 1420; I just ordered an engine plaque from SLP Engineering and they stated my build # is 1752 (based on my car's VIN? Any ideas why the difference ?

Not sure what you are looking at but I would think your "1420" is your 35TH build # (# out of 3000) and not the SLP build #.

OR I could be wrong Your 1752 # could be your 35TH out of 3000.

Someone may have looked at the wrong year.

I print on the LofA what SLP sends me.

If you need a re-verification and a new LofA (if what's printed is incorrect), I can add you to the next batch. Be warned.....I'm giving SLP time to finish their reorganization before I send this batch in, so it may be awhile.

Thanks Teri, I'm more concerned with them putting the wrong number on the plaque. I was hoping there might be a different explanation than an SLP mistake.
Thanks all!

Thanks all!

You might want to call SLP and tell them your concern about the plaque. Perhaps someone can double check the # and confirm it. If the plaque is incorrect, you certainly want to replace it. If that's correct, you need a new LofA.

Let me know what you find out either way.

[Wink]

Am I to assume you have a new engine plaque on the way?

Actually, I came across my L of A before the plaque was delivered, so they are gonna try to intercept the order... [Cool]
