I threw a SES light the other night while just sitting at a stoplight. I had AutoZone read it & it revealed 4 codes. All of them were "Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold" (I think P0430 & P0420, or something close to that)

My car only has 13,000 miles on it. The mods are as follows: SLP Blackwing Lid, K&N Filter, SLP CNC-Ported Heads (stock cam).....that's it.

Is it possible that my cats are bad already?? [Confused] I'm just looking for any input/thoughts before I take it to the dealer.

TIA!

it's covered, take it in.

P0430 is bank 2 (pass. side) behind the cat H02S sensor. (sensor 2) bank 1 is driver's side

could be your cat. converter, more like probably.

Have you changed brands of gas? Also might want to check your gas cap to make sure it's on there correctly. Both can cause the SES to light up, not sure if that is the code it would throw however. Just some food for thought.

Most common reason I have seen for that is lower grade fuel.
