I did a FINAL Photoshop rendering of what I imagine my Grand Sport will look like when it's finished. I used a few different images and combined them to make the final version. The idea is to create a modern interpretation of Zora's 'ultimate Vette' keeping with the basic cues from the past such as the design of the body, frame, wheels, stripe shape, etc. but making it unlike any other GS replica out there. Since it will begin life as an actual '63 Corvette, it will not be considered a 'kit' car and will have absolutely no restrictions when it comes to emissions testing.
My revised color scheme (and hopefully final) will be the new '04 Comemorative Corvette LeMans Blue as the primary color. The stripe will be Sebring Silver with a 1/4" Torch Red pinstripe. The wheels will be 17" versions of the originals, fully polished with modern Good Year rubber. The sidepipes and fender accent strips will be polished too. The frame will be powdercoated silver with modern suspension and have new 13" J55 brakes. The interior will have silver leather seats and door panels with light gray carpeting. The seat belt harnesses will be red. The engine will be an American Speed 383ci 4 bolt main GM block with a Kinsler cross-ram fuel injection unit putting out 525hp @ 5800 rpm and 515 ft. lbs. of torque @ 4400 rpm - a real tire fryer!
The '95 Corvette front and rear suspensions are supposed to be delivered to me this coming weekend so I can finally get started. The donor car is being procured this week too and the tube frame should be ready by the end of November (I hope).

For a few more ideas, here's a couple shots of some GS cars I took at different races.

Should be fantastic when finished. Good Luck, hope it all comes together for you. Posted by WD,30th SS#727 (Member # 107) on :
I recently saw a replica grand sport at a car show looked just like your version except it had clear covers over fixed lights in the front. It had a ZO6 LS1 engine in it. It was attracting alot of attention at a show with over 600 nice cars. Your's will do the same I'm sure.
