So I just read Travisnds thread about his dyno numbers and it made me realize that Ive never posted my dyno sheet. I was very impressed with his numbers and noticed some were calling his car a freak... granted mine is a M6 but I like to consider mine a freak too.. some people tell me it is and some people tell me its normal. What do you think?

These runs were stock... and then with only some LS1 Edit.

The 322 was my very first pull.. we eventually got 326 out of her on the 3rd stock pull. This chart shows my very first pull vs the last pull of the night, after we tweaked the A/F.

This was after we used LS1 Edit and tuned it a bit. My A/F was 11.6-11.7 when we started, we bumped it to 12.8-12.9. This chart shows our first 322 pull vs 1st tune vs 2nd tune.

This was 3 pulls with the 2nd tune to show the consistancy of numbers. One of the runs, first 2nd tune, at 5000rpm we had some knock and it tapered a bit.. but the last 2 runs were STRONG with no knock.

No. It is a Camaro LS1. Not a freak. If you pulled off a 365 HP stock run, I'd think it was a freak. But 322 isn't in my book.

Any HP is good HP. Dynos and engine-assemblies vary, but your's doesn't seem too far off the mark.

The neat thing is you got to do some tuning with it to derive the most power with what you got. That's what individualized tuning can get you. 6% HP increase isn't too bad for just tuning what I assume to be a stock engine.

Yep it was stock.. the only thing I did was a tune up on it a few days before. I bought it used and the first thing I did was a basic tune up. Car had 25K on it too.

Thats exactly what I thought.. the baseline #s were what I thought was a good average, with the 326 maybe a few hp above.

I think a lot of people wont pay someone to do dyno tuning because they are stuck with the notion that stock doesnt need tuning, and that it wouldne be worth it. All I know is I paid a good shop 1/2hr @ $150/hr for dyno tuning... so I gained 18rwhp/15rwtq for $75. Thats a heck of a deal if you ask me. [Big Grin]

The shop that dynoed my car also provides tuning with Predator, not LS1 Edit. They guy has a C5 vette and picked up 20rwhp just with tuning, so I think I may do some tuning next. I should be able to get 350rwhp with tuning!

i'd say stock for stock you got much mor hp than me.

All I did was run 307hp/325tq at 4000 miles. Now with over 22,000 miles, it still feels around the same exact hp #'s low 300's [Frown]

consider yourself lucky in my book

Thanks man... if I was you Id go dyno again. At 4000 miles the motor is still really fresh and Im willing to bet youll dyno more with that 22,000 miles on the car. [Cool]

I'd say My guess of low 300's is right on par... at the 1/4track, new lebanon to be exact... my best was 13.6@104.7 with a 60' of 2.110 and that is with DR's notice the low MPH ... that is a refletion of HP.. so the strip backs up my claim of low hp #'s (btw that is the highest mph I have ever gotten in the 1/4 also [Frown] )

I wouldn't count on picking up 20rwhp just from tuning on a stock car. A modified car, maybe.

The car at the dyno shop said that when they tuned his C5 stock, he got 19rwhp and 18rwtq. Since i have upgraded my exhaust and all my air induction mods, i think it is possible. He said that i could gain about 10rwhp just by adjusting my air/fuel ratio. I think i was around 11.8 or so, and he said that bringing it to 12.6 or so, would give me alittle bit more HP.

Travis..

Id be willing to bet you would pick up close to 20whp, might get lucky and get that full 20.

After I made my initial 3 runs on the dyno the guy looked at my A/Fs and gauranteed me at least 10whp from A/F tuning. My A/F was real close to yours so if you bumped it up to say 12.8-12.9 you may get it... cause mine netted that 18hp/15tq with the stock CME SLP exhaust and stock SLP/blackwing LID.
