Has anyone ever used (or heard of) products called "Kwik Black" and/or "Pro-Tech" ?
I have pages from an older 'car' magazine that feature a restoration using these products. Kwik Black is used to restore the 'cast' coloring to freshly blasted parts and Pro Tech is a 'cosmoline' type spray to seal it. They list the address for the company as:

ASL Company
1200 S.Rock Blvd., #10
Sparks, NV 89431
(702)331-3331

...I tried web searches, but nothing comes up. I will try calling (later) today, but thought to ask here as well.

Thanks,
Kevin

I never used that brand of product on an exhaust manifold.I used Eastwood Stainless Steel Hi Temp Coating on manifolds before and it gives that just blasted look that stays on.You would think that spraying a cosmoline coating on a part would attract dirt.

I would agree about cosmoline and dirt. Plus, if you accidently get it on something else, its a PITA to get it off. I hate that stuff, but all the new machines we buy at work are delivered covered in the stuff.

The stuff from Eastwood seems to be pretty good, better than autozone or oreilly stuff, from what I've seen.
