My donor engine arrived today. This thing is immaculate. I was very impressed with the crating too. It was completely enclosed and tied down with cables and straps. I highly recommend Contemporary Corvettes, a.k.a. Fparts Salvage if anyone needs an engine. http://www.stores.ebay.com/id=11781074&ssPageName=L2

I was pretty surprized to see how clean it was. I always invision juck yard engines to be filthy. The thing looks like a Factory crate motor ready to run!.

UPDATE:
Today I stripped it down to the heads. Everything is off the engine except the timing chain cover, the A/C compressor, alternator and the tranny. I went as far as removing the rocker arms and pushrods too. Enough for one day... tomorrow I'll probably be seeing the tops of the pistons.
