From everyone i know that has them, they love them. a friend of mine has them on his '01 SS and they look great. he has T-tops and he says they made a world of difference with the body flex. these are the ones that i am going to go with.

Nothing wrong with SLP SFCs - lots of us have
them on our cars. They fit and work great.

My only minor beef is the weight. Otherwise they are great!

SLP Bolt ons are very high quality.

They fit perfectly and are very rigid.

Love my SLP Bolt-ons! Easy to install and high quality. Along with the STB, they totally change the car!

Whozzat? They do make for a nice improvement (at the cost of 40+ pounds). I still do get rattles out of my t-tops, though (only because the plastic trim isn't centered well and rubs on one end).

Most everything I've ever bought for my car from SLP always needed to be modified to fit. . . .

I've had mine on for about three years now. They went on without a hitch, (I also had them tack welded), and they made a huge difference in the car. My only complaint is that they hang down a little lower than some others and if you lower your car it could cause some clearance problems. I've had problems at a couple of alignment shops getting mine up on their lift.

supporting other folks' comments, good quality and a definite improvement for a fbod!

Well I would say their quality is acceptable. But I believe there is a superior product that is more aesthetically pleasant than the SLP version.

Ground Clearance:
A D.Goetz Fabrications design criteria as well as not having to cut heat shields or fuel line movement to get them to fit.
If my SFC's hit something you will have damaged your exhaust system as well

Here's some pic's to illustrate.

Side shot showing SFC's (note the front fender mounting flange is a little lower than the SFC)

Underside showing clearance

I love my SLP SFC's. They look great, and since I have their LT headers and the Bilstein Ultra Suspension and have not scraped anywhere <yet...knock wood> clearance is not a problem for me. I overcame the weight problem by increasing my hp. [Big Grin]

Maybe I should have mentioned in my earlier post that we're planning on getting a convertible SS in the next couple of months (after the 68 'Vette sells), and my intention right now is to put the Goetz SFC's on it. (Time to update your sales projections Don).
