My 02 SS was getting pretty thin on tires and I started looking. The new Goodyears were $199 to $240 each, and most of the competition was about in the same ballpark (at a tire store, anyway).

I wound up getting a set of Fuldas from Big-).

Fulda is a German company wholely owned by Goodyear, and I got mine for $117 per tire plus mount and balance.

Long story short, they seem to hold the road slightly better than the original F1's, at less than half the price of new Goodyears, and make less road noise.

I'm happy.

I never heard of that brand. If they work great and you saved money, that's all that matters.
I just checked the tire wear on my SS.After 12,300 miles and several trips to the dragstrip,I still have 8/32 of rubber remaining. That means the tires have 3/4 of their original tread remaining. [Cool]

Hi Nate,

No pics, but I like 'em. You can see them at Big-O. The Fulda Company in Germany is owned by Goodyear and comes standard on many German High-Performance cars.

Stop by a Big-O and look at the tread pattern. They aren't likely to have a set of 275/40-ZR17's in stock, but you can look at the tire and the tread anyway.

My original Goodyears lasted 2.5 years, so if these last longer than a little over a year, I'm ahead. Seem to be every bit as good, maybe better than the originals.
