Alaska judge halts wolf shootings for now

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A Superior Court judge yesterday issued a
court order
to prevent temporarily the shooting of wolves from airplanes
under a state
predator control program.

"At the order of the court, we're suspending operations for now,"
said Matt
Robus, director the state Department of Fish and Game's division
of wildlife
conservation.
