I do not know if any of you have seen this but it is going around the message boards up here in Ontario. 8 members of a local Subaru Club were on there way to an off road rally event, in a convoy, when they were pulled over and charged with street racing. You can read their comments here on their message board.
After running a few auto slaloms with some of these dudes and they are not ricers by any means. They can certainly drive and always are respectful when showing up for and leaving the auto slalom events. I do wish them the best and hope they get themselves cleared. Please do not use this thread as a cop bashing forum, but I'm sure some of us have a few stories to tell. Please stick to facts and try not to slam the cops too hard on this. Most of the police up here are very cool. But this will make for interesting reading for the next few months.

It sounds to me like they could beat this wrap with a good lawyer...especially if the police said they were not speeding. "Caravans" are quite common and other caravans are not treated the same way. It's just a shame that they even have to think about defending themselves but a properly prepared defense should convince a judge to throw the case out.
