I have been in touch with the owner of this Earnhardt car. Suffice to say, he is looking to get a sale price in the 6 digit range and that does not include the numbers to the right of the decimal point [Eek!] . Good luck to the seller but it is too rich for my blood even if I did win the Mega lottery.

Sounds like the owner is trying to make a dollar from Dale Sr. It's sad, the guy would be luck to get 45-50K for it.. [Frown]

Sweet car, but I think he has tried to sell it in the six figure range a number of times...without much luck. I definitely think he is trying to make a dollar off of Dale Sr.

Nice car way out of price range though! The GMMG 600 hp cars with many Mods are bringing 100K, But that is factory type race car!

The Earnhardt Intimidator SS is a GMMG built car.

In the new white book (in the back of the book) it lists all the performance built GMMG Camaro's (35th Anniversary Edition, Berger SS's, Tom Henry SS's, Earnhardt Intimidator SS's, Hot Rod Magazine Camaros and ZL1's).

Also, the 600 h.p. ZL1's that have resold recently have been in the range of $115,000 to $119,000.

I agree with most of you on the price of this Intimidator SS. A six figure amount is too high. They are a beautiful car and I would love to own one. A couple of my friends own one each so I have seen them up close and personal.

Just my humble un-educated opinion, the car is probably worth $50,000 with the signatures.

I agree, although I would maybe bump the price a bit. Six figures is stretching it though. Your's cost you in the mid 90 range correct? I wouldn't think a 380/382HP car (regardless who's name is on it) could pull that kind of price. But you never know.

I was at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach last Feb. and an Intimidator SS rolled across the block with a high bid of only US$27K! It was untitled and was one of the vehicles that had the dash actually signed by Dale Sr. The owner was listed as Earnhardt Chevrolet. There was a reserve of either $70K or $75K on the car - I forget which.

Best regardSS,

Elie

27K, are you serious. Ouch, that hurts.

#22 Tom Henry Racing Camaro
Monterey Maroon Red

NO.............thank god mine didn't cost in the mid 90's range. If it would have, unfortunately I wouldn't have been able to afford it ! ! [Big Grin]

Mine is a Phase II instead of a Phase III. The Phase III cars ranged from the mid 80's to the mid 90's depending on equipment, special paint, etc.

My Phase II had a window sticker in the mid 60's. Furthermore, my Phase II is the only Phase II built by GMMG with the electric exhaust cut-out that was basically standard equipment on all the Phase III cars.

Anyway.........to the point now........as my car stickered out in the mid 60's, even with the signatures........I think anywhere around $50K to a maximum of maybe $55K would be MY defition of REASONABLE. Remember, only 83 of these were produced and not all were signed prior to Dales death.

I certainly don't want to take anything away from this car at all. THEY ARE NICE and I would love to add one to my small stable. [Big Grin]
