No site that I run currently produces any popup advertising of any kind. If you are seeing a popup ad, you are receiving it because your copy of Internet Explorer has been hijacked in a way that when you browse sites, it looks for certain things, and when they are seen, it will display advertising related to that.
There is indeed a googlebar on the site... but its incorporated into the website, and is NOT a popup. So if you are seeing any window open as a result... I have two recommendations:
1.) Installed the googlebar. This is a GREAT tool as it allows blocked popups, and also shows you a site's google ranking to determine where it fits into the grand scheme of things.
2.) Install a freeware program called SpyBot.. it is the BEST program I have ever seen for removing things that misuse Internet Explorer, etc. Often when packages are installed like KaZaa peer-to-peer client, they require these ad programs to be installed on your machine. It makes a mess. My advice.. get spybot which removes malicious junk off of your machine and returns Internet Explorer back to what it was meant to be.
Take care, yall!

JR, another product people should look for is AdAware - Spybot is better, but AdAware does catch some things that SpyBot doesn't.

Another program that I use is called POW! - it's a popup killer as well. Now I haven't installed the Google Toolbar yet, so it may be redundant. However, you can get this utility from: www.analogx.com Posted by 97 SS LT1 (Member # 136) on :
Another good program to run is "Spyhunter", it cost me $29.95 and does a good job of finding parasites. A few day's ago a trogan horse infiltrated my system and I ran the program and it got rid of the culprit.

I am going to have to check out AdAware. I run Spybot as well but want to get it all if possible.
