I have to side with TL on this one. We never cause any trouble. ;)I just figured it was time for me to help out since I have been fortunate enough to be around this great board pretty much since the beginning.
I am sorry I got so nutty but I guess at my age I am not too crazy about change. I liked the old laid back and relaxed atmosphere around this board with not too much wasted posting etc. I then allowed myself to go overboard with my reaction to some posts. I am truly sorry that happened. I take any responsibility I am give very seriously, being a moderator is no different. I figured it was the best way for me to moderate DanA_F99_1977. I neede to be moderated more than anyone and I suspect that simply because I am an old fart around here, my posts were not deleted. They probably should have been. It will force me to stop and think before I post which I am guilty of not doing on the past. I have the utmost respect for people and making judgements about people on an internet discussion board is just plain wrong. So, hold on folks, here it comes.
To Pete and others that I have given more of a hard time to than I have a right to. I am sorry! I truly am. This is a place for friends, I hope we can all remember that. I hope I have not spoiled the opportunity for us to be friends.
Now having said that from my heart, I will moderate the board and do my part. I will not stand by if things get out of hand in a post or posting in general. I will read posts before I read who posted and make a decision if it is appropriate or not. The way I look at it, if I were annoyed by a comment in person sitting on a real back porch, then it is inappropriate. I expect us to act like adult friends, hanging out together, that's all.
Now, I will go back to my more quiet, patient and Happy self. Thanks for listening.
Have a great weekend and again, my apologies to anyone that I offended and to the rest of my friends here that had to listen to that.
