I was flipping through the channels this morning and caught a piece of a show called "Pensecola: Wings of Gold" on TNT, where one of the characters drove a red '98 or '99 Camaro convertible (show date was originally 9/98, so I figured it was a 98 or 99. It had the dealer add-on spoiler extension and ground effects and chrome Camaro 5 spoke wheels. Never saw the car again, though I caught the last part of the program. Sort of a Top Gun goes TV type of show. James Brolin was in it, that's the only guy I recognized. However, I saw more of that Camaro on the show than any Chevy Camaro advertisements of that era. [Frown] Camaros even look good on TV....you hear that GM!!! [Big Grin]

We also placed one in Fight Club, Runaway Bride, CSI (B4Cs in full dress) and a few others......

That stuff really pays off. You think that
Smokey and The Bandit had something to do
with selling Black T/A's? After that movie
I wanted one!

Wish clips of the scenes were available to see. Yeah, Smokey and the Bandit. Went to see it in the theatre back then. Had a 76 (round headlights) black 455 4spd T/A then. Got alot of looks leaving the parking lot that night. Just had to grab 2nd. [Big Grin]

I remember seeing the one from runaway bride. Was pretty cool (think it was a Z28).

Anyone remember the black 3rd gen Trans Am from Rocky that he bought?? [Cool]

Makes me feel better that my daily contribution to Mt Dew pays back with 3rd gen Trans Am doing spiral jumps on TV.

No kidding! Just look at what mentioning the Cadillac Escalade in the words of some rap hits has done for sales of that thing! [Eek!] Sales of the "'Lade" are off the charts! A heckuva success story there, thanks to today's media!

Best regardSS,

Elie

The second season of Pensacola had him driving a red 4th gen Camaro. But when you get into season 3 he is driving a red 4th gen SS. [Big Grin]
