Working at a Chevy Dearship, i decided to buy some Corvette FRC's. (pretty cheap with discount) and make a set of Camaro SS FRC's. Here is the final product. Covers are painted Lt. Pewter Metallic like the car. Posted by blkragss02 (Member # 1801) on 19 January, 2004 09:00 PM:

Go buy the vette fuel rail covers, get some epoxy, fill the "corvette" letters in, sand sand sand sand and then sand.. get it smooth, seal it, prime it, wet sand, paint then clear, clear, clear and add some clear.. then get your vinyl letters, and your done..
The sanding really sucks.. just so you know.. Posted by Performin Norman (Member # 548) on 19 January, 2004 10:25 PM:

When you get the covers from the dealer, do they come with the hardware to hold them in place? I've have not seem the LS1 covers up close, just the LT1 and I know for the LT1 covers you need to get all the little parts to hold the covers in place.
Do you have a list of the part numbers that you purchased?
Thanks, Bob

Part Numbers: 12559261 and 12556455
I didnt need and addidtional parts. there are "stud" type bolts on the coil packs and snaps into the bottom of the covers. the covers also have clips that attatch onto the fuel rail. You will have to do some cutting with a dremmel to get the oil dipstick tube where it needs to be and cut for the thottle cable hardware at the throttle body. on the driver side coverm you will need to trim where the accel pedal cables (if asr equiped) hold down goes. I will take some more detailed pics and post them on my site. I will PM you when i do this. Your cost on the covers will be around 40.00 each from a GM dealership.
