I recently just got a 3800 tci stall. What can i expect from this? I've never been in a car with a stall and I've never learned how to drive a manual. Everyone tells me the first thing to get for a auto is a stall. I also plan on getting a tranny cooler, maybe a shift kit, and some LCA's. Currently all i have is the SLP lid, CAI, LM, some subframes and STB. Thanks guys and gals

That is a lot of stall speed. You will see a big smile on your face the first time you nail the throttle from a dead stop. You will need a trans cooler because of all of the slippage in the convertor.Your fuel economy will also drop a bit due to the added RPM's. You may even have to use drive (3rd) instead of overdrive on the hiway because the convertor won't be locked up below the stall speed. [Smile]

Oh yes, the biggest difference besides the from a stop take off will be the fuel economy.I assume the convertor will still be a lock up style. [Smile]

Travis you and I talked about this on Tri- State Chat the other night. I have a 3200 stall converter in my 99 Z28 . The difference that I see is you have to give the car more gas to get going and I now use 3rd in around town so the car isnt shifting all the time . I dont see any difference on the hwy at all . I put it in OD and just go . Now the milage hasnt changed that much . I still get around 32 on the hwy and the around town has gone down a bit but I ac [Cool] [Wink] [Razz] redit that to me mostly , you know on the gas fooling around . I will tell you this in a auto car its the MOST bang for the buck mod you could do . Its like you got a whole different car . You will like it I am sure
