State of emergency just declared in North Carolina....terrible weather here with snow and freezing rain.......lots of freezing rain expected all day tomorrow too. They are saying we are going to have power lines down and tree damage too. [Frown]

Hmmm, hasn't started up this way yet. Doppler is showing heavy snow clouds overhead for the past hour and its 17 degrees here. Should start getting hit any mintue now. Stay warm guys!

we had 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of freezing rain and the roads suck! The wifes 4x4 doesnt do all that well on it, im not even trying the SS..!!!

Of course I have questions:

1) What do heavy snow clouds look like?? Are they dark like thunderstorm clouds??

2) 17 degrees?? At what point does it get too cold to snow??

3) Is there such a thing as "snow margaritas"??

It was 4 below zero here last nite...went out and the Driver Info. Center said "Ice Possible"......

I never understood that. Mine will say that on a cold morning with bright blue sky, but won't when its an ice storm. [Confused]

But then again its a dodge truck. Don't know if thats got something to do with it or not [Wink]

I should be sleeping since I have to go push the stuff around when it snows. I'll probably grab a few hours of shuteye and then be awake and working for the next 24. Looks like the Hawk won't see daylight for a while.

Here is the dumping we got here in Southern Ontario. [Eek!]
