Well some of you may know I enjoy ice fishing and fish pretty much every weekend. Some people even find it hard to beleive that I fish on ice.. (Steve da Wrench)...Well I finally caught some big fish and I thought I would share some of my recent pics..
The first two are of me and my 13lb northern pike and the last one is of an 18lb 42" long pike as well.. and yes its a tad bit chilly out there but I have a ice shack that is insulated and has a wood burning stove..

Heard the ice was so thick this year on Lake Superior - that the fisheman are not going on with their snowmobiles, but are driving their trucks - 12 miles off shore - to fish!

That must be a real challenge trying to fight and land such a big fish thru a small hole in the ice. What test line were you using and any special tricks when dealing with a fighter like that thru the ice?

Great looking fish.

Thanks guys.. When I caught those fish the ice was 40" thick and yes I did pull them out of a 10" hole.. I was using 10lb test line and brought it in by hand. And yes Elie it seems that there was an abundance of beer in the shack considering there is not much else to when you are waiting.. On a side note I cut the fish right up soon after I caught it and I fried it up in a pan on the stove in some garlic butter and lemon pepper seasoning.. mmmmmm I can still taste it..
