A few of us that are planning on caravanning to BG are going to have a Meet'n Greet dinner & cruise on Saturday, Feb. 28 in Waco, TX! (first of many, we hope)
We can meet at the Hilton Hotel (time TBA), cruise, have dinner somewhere in the mini-West End that's across from the Hilton, and those that want to stay overnight there may do so!
Everyone is welcome to join us.....if any out-of-staters would like a "road trip", come on down! (this even includes the snowball & tire tool posses...)

I might be able to do a road trip IF I get the rear end fixed on the SS in time. Got to get to work!

I'd love to. However, that is a little too far for me. Posted by CK-1 99SS (Member # 93) on :

Count me in! The new headers should give better (ahem) gas mileage and this'll give me a chance to check it out.
Linda can't make it, but I'll be there.

There's a highly recommended shop in Waco called Nitro Dave's. They've got a dyno, and if there's some interest in it I might be able to put together a dyno session for us in the afternoon.
Whatcha all think?

Cindy and I are hoping to come to Texas sometime this spring and look for retirement areas .......... gonna spend some time down in your neck of the "piney woods" Posted by cytruffle (Member # 1733) on :

Take a week off from work? haha Just kidding. Who is staying over? Might help me decide to stay over or drive home late! Jim and the "Twins" Cy, Remind me right before it happens.

We'll definitely do that Posted by RareSS (Member # 1818) on :
Julie is the "Black-top Bad-one", but Jenny is the "Trailer Queen". I do not trust but a very few to pull Jenny on the trailer! haha I may just have to come over there and meet some more people, if they will show up. I hate driving and then being the only person there at a GTG! It makes me wanna talk to myself! I found someone that said she would ride with me to Whacko! She wants to see what a GTG is about. Cy email me right before to remind me. My schedule is full of things to remember and do. Well, I better get out the door and go do some of these things! See you all there!(Hopefully!) Mr. fenton23 and ThemtwobratSS ( ) should be there for sure.....if they don't show up, I'm takin' my tire tool upside their heads!!!
Also, Mr. Macky from the GretStetaLoooziana may come....and I think Mr. TxGC will, too, but he's a li'l intimidated to post on an SS board...(Hawk driver.... .....but a decent fella....)
I'll remind everybody a day or so before.....cuz if nobody shows up, I'll hafta go visit my mother..... (j/k.....sortof...)

Does anyone know if the registration started or when it will start for BG? I thought there would be more information available by now.

We don't "know" Dr. Swink, but we did get to see him during a ceremony last fall at a football halftime game.
With both of us being teachers, we know a little of the stuff he's known for, but I wasn't raised here like my wife, and she's not too into sports, so we didn't really know about him until this year.
When y'all come through the Piney Woods, holler at us! We'd love to meet y'all! More people to hang out with at BG! Posted by cytruffle (Member # 1733) on :
